The man behind the flash…
It’s been 25 years since I first worked as a photographer’s assistant, and I’m still just as excited to photograph events as I was when I first learned how to change a roll of film.
Photography brings together everything I love—people, places, and great parties. And being able to creatively document moments in time for families, corporate clients, and international brands is a true privilege.
Over the years, the variety of my work has taught me how to adapt to any situation, every generation, and the inevitable pressures that come with live events.
Whether it’s an international royal wedding, a campaign for one of the world’s biggest fashion brands, a corporate presentation, headshots, or a family celebration, the diversity of my work keeps me excited and inspired by every new challenge.
My deliberately unobtrusive style means that most of the time, you won’t even know I’m there. One of the things I love most is when, after an event, I present a gallery and the client sees not just the memories they expected—but moments they didn’t even know had happened. A smile across the table during speeches, children playing, the look on guests’ faces as a surprise act takes the stage, or an emotional reunion—I love seeking out the moments in between. Those quiet, candid glimpses often say the most.
I’m incredibly proud of the relationships I’ve built with clients and suppliers alike. A collaborative approach is always at the heart of what I do, and I’m grateful that most of my work comes from repeat clients or personal recommendations.
I’ve been honoured to photograph royalty and celebrities, to work in some of the world’s most iconic and exclusive venues, and to be part of truly unforgettable events. But there’s nothing better than knowing that one of my images has made it into a frame—and brings a smile every time it’s seen.
